BAMBU LAB A1 SERIES

Bambu Lab A1 3D Printer

High-Speed Precision. Effortless Printing. More Room to Create.

Make desktop 3D printing easier with automatic calibration, smart print monitoring, and reliable performance for everyday creative projects.

The Bambu Lab A1 is a user-friendly FDM 3D printer designed for makers, hobbyists, educators, and small creative workspaces. Its 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume, automatic calibration, and active flow rate compensation help simplify the process of turning digital designs into physical objects.

01 / FULL-AUTO CALIBRATION

Spend Less Time Setting Up

The A1 automates key calibration steps, including Z-offset, bed leveling, vibration compensation, and pressure-related flow calibration. This reduces routine manual adjustments and helps simplify the initial setup process.

  • Automated calibration for a simpler start
  • Active flow rate compensation during printing
  • Print-status monitoring and time-lapse support
  • Designed to make everyday printing more approachable
02 / PRINTING PERFORMANCE

High-Speed Printing, Consistent Results

With a responsive motion system, linear rails, and sensor-assisted control, the A1 is engineered to combine fast movement with controlled extrusion for everyday models, prototypes, and functional prints.

  • Maximum toolhead speed: up to 500 mm/s
  • Maximum toolhead acceleration: 10,000 mm/s²
  • Maximum hotend temperature: 300°C
  • Included nozzle: 0.4 mm stainless steel
Performance note: Maximum speed and acceleration are rated limits, not a guarantee that every model or filament will print at those settings. Actual results depend on the model, material, slicer settings, and environment.
03 / ACTIVE FLOW RATE COMPENSATION

Smoother Extrusion Around Every Corner

The A1 uses a high-frequency eddy-current sensor and control algorithms to adjust filament flow during printing. This helps improve extrusion consistency, especially during changes in speed and direction, for cleaner-looking surfaces and corners.

  • Sensor-assisted flow control
  • Designed to reduce common extrusion inconsistencies
  • Supports consistent results across everyday prints

04 / QUICK-SWAP HOTEND

Convenient Nozzle Changes and Maintenance

The A1 features a quick-swap nozzle design that makes replacing the hotend assembly more convenient. Compatible nozzle diameters can help you balance fine details, print speed, and material deposition for different projects.

  • Quick-swap design for easier hotend replacement
  • Compatible nozzle options for different printing needs
  • Convenient for routine maintenance and upgrades

Confirm the nozzle assembly, diameter, and material compatibility before purchasing replacement components.

05 / QUIETER OPERATION

A More Comfortable Printing Experience

Active motor noise cancellation helps reduce harsh motor noise during operation. Combined with app and computer-based print management, the A1 is designed to fit into home workshops, classrooms, studios, and maker spaces.

  • Active motor noise cancellation
  • Print management through compatible Bambu Lab software
  • Designed for convenient everyday use

06 / INTELLIGENT PRINT MONITORING

Helpful Sensors for Everyday Printing

The A1 combines filament runout detection, filament tangle detection, and filament odometry to help identify certain interruptions during a print. Its built-in camera supports remote viewing and time-lapse recording.

  • Filament runout and tangle detection
  • Filament movement monitoring
  • Camera-assisted remote viewing and time-lapse recording
  • Power-loss recovery support

Power-loss recovery can help resume a print after a qualifying power interruption. Recovery results depend on the interruption, printer state, and print conditions.

Monitoring note: Detection features help identify certain printing issues but cannot guarantee that every failed print or filament problem will be detected.
07 / ROOM TO CREATE

A 256 mm Cubed Build Volume

With a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume, the A1 provides room for a broad range of desktop projects, from detailed models to organizers, prototypes, cosplay components, and practical custom parts that fit within the build area.

  • Hobby and DIY projects
  • Product concepts and rapid prototypes
  • Education and STEM activities
  • Custom organizers, accessories, and decorative models

Material guidance: PLA and PETG are practical starting points for many everyday projects. TPU and support materials require suitable profiles and settings. The A1's open-frame design makes temperature-sensitive materials such as ABS, ASA, PC, and PA more challenging to print. Abrasive fiber-filled filaments may wear a stainless-steel nozzle; verify nozzle and material compatibility before use.
Configuration note: Specifications and included accessories may vary by region, product revision, and bundle. Confirm the exact SKU and manufacturer's package contents before ordering. AMS lite is required for multicolor printing and may be sold separately.
