Why these products together

Plan the mission system and the site around it.

01

DJI

Evaluate dock-based operations

DJI Dock 3 + Matrice 4D
DJI Dock 3 + Matrice 4D

Dock 3 with Matrice 4D or 4TD provides the aircraft workflow to assess against the mission and operating schedule.

02

Anker SOLIX

Assess temporary power

Anker SOLIX S5000
Anker SOLIX S5000

S5000 is a candidate AC source for a supervised pilot, subject to electrical compatibility and complete-site commissioning.

What the combination gives you

Make deployment decisions with a defined site plan.

  • A scoped demonstration plan
  • Power and network assessed together
  • Fewer installation assumptions

A site assessment is required. This is not a certified plug-and-play off-grid kit; permanent operation needs an engineered plan.

The problems this setup addresses

Permanent site power is not readyEvaluate a temporary option

How the benefit is achieved

Review S5000 as a candidate AC source for a supervised demonstration with the correct connection and protections.

Power alone does not make a dock operationalPlan connectivity at the same time

How the benefit is achieved

Assess the network, software, mission requirements and site access alongside the equipment.

Unknowns become expensive after installationTest the intended operating mode

How the benefit is achieved

Check startup, aircraft charging, energy use and communications during commissioning before agreeing the deployment scope.

The combination, explained

A working dock site needs all four pieces.

  1. Reviewed AC sourceS5000 candidate, subject to checks
  2. Dock 3 + 4D / 4TDMission and charging system
  3. Network + softwareOperations and communications
  4. Site commissioningInstallation and operating tests
The practical benefitMake deployment decisions with a defined site plan.
Site requirements illustration, not an approved wiring design. An unattended or permanent off-grid site requires a separately engineered power and network plan.

Illustrative workflow

Example: a supervised site demonstration

Agree a limited demonstration schedule, evaluate the proposed power connection and network, then test startup and aircraft charging with the full setup. Use the findings to scope permanent infrastructure.

Best fit

Organizations assessing a supervised Dock 3 pilot or a site-specific temporary power requirement.

Already own equipment?

Begin with a site assessment. A suitable grid supply may remove the need for portable power; continuous remote operation requires its own engineering plan.

Workflow illustration

How the workflow comes together.

  1. 01

    Define operations

Share location, mission frequency, operating hours and grid/network availability.

  2. 02

    Check the complete load

Review Dock input, station outlet ratings and recharge behavior with DRT.

  3. 03

    Plan the installation

Agree grounding, protection, weather exposure, mounting and network access.

  4. 04

    Test & hand off

Validate startup, charging, energy use and the agreed operating mode before deployment.

Site assessment required

Choose your setup.

Equipment, operations software, power, network and installation are scoped separately. The products below are candidates for review, not a certified cross-brand deployment kit.

Review setup and compatibility

Questions before choosing the setup

Is this an approved plug-and-play off-grid kit?

No. S5000 is a candidate for site review, not a certified cross-brand installation. Connections, protection, energy and operating behavior must be assessed.

Which aircraft works with Dock 3?

Dock 3 uses the Matrice 4D series: 4D or 4TD. Field-operated Matrice 4E and 4T are different aircraft.

Does the dock backup battery keep charging the aircraft?

No. The dock internal backup battery does not support aircraft charging during a power outage. Include this behavior in the site power plan.

A good setup starts with the right checks.
  • DJI specifies 100–240V AC, 50/60Hz and 800W maximum Dock 3 input. That rating alone does not validate an installation.
  • Dock 3 uses Matrice 4D or 4TD, not the field-operated Matrice 4E or 4T.
  • Portable power alone is not a validated unattended or year-round off-grid solution. Do not assume uninterrupted missions or a fixed runtime.
  • The dock’s internal backup battery does not support aircraft charging during a power outage. Permanent sites need an engineered energy and network plan.
